BFT LedgerIt: Terms & End User License Agreement
Last updated: August 2026
1 Acceptance
- By downloading, installing or using BFT LedgerIt (the App), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.
2 License
- BeFinLit India grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Windows 10 or later, subject to these terms. During the beta period the App is free to use; if paid features are introduced later, they will be announced clearly before anything changes. We may, in future, apply a reasonable limit on the number of devices a single licence can be active on at once; any such limit will be announced before it takes effect.
3 Local processing
- The App processes your bank statements entirely on your own device. BeFinLit India does not receive, store or see your statements, databases or reports. You are responsible for keeping the device on which the App runs secure, and for backing up your own data.
- If you choose to email us a statement for support, you may redact account numbers, balances or transactions you do not want to share first; we need only the statement's layout to fix the parsing issue.
- Separately from your statements, the App sends a small amount of operational data online: a hardware-derived device identifier (to link your licence to your machines and recognise a reinstall), a brief "still active" signal roughly every 30 minutes while the App is open together with the App version, and — once, at first activation — an approximate city/state estimated from your IP address. If you answer the optional onboarding questions, your answers are sent too. None of this includes the contents of your statements. See our Privacy Notice for details.
4 Beta status
- The App is complete and safe to use, but it is being road-tested across a wide range of bank statement formats. Statement formats we have not yet encountered may fail to parse, and features may change between versions.
5 Automatic updates
- The App may check for and install updates automatically. Updates are provided to keep the App working and current.
6 Not professional advice
- The App is a bookkeeping tool. It is not tax, accounting, legal or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. You remain responsible for verifying the outputs you rely on and for your own decisions.
7 Accountants and professionals
- If you use the App to process the data of clients or third parties, you remain responsible for that data and for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any privacy obligations owed to those clients.
8 No warranty
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In particular, we do not warrant that every statement format will parse correctly.
9 Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeFinLit India shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or business, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Export your reports and keep backups of your own data.
10 Termination
- Your licence ends if you uninstall the App or if you breach these terms. Uninstalling the App does not delete the local database it created.
11 Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised terms.
12 Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions may be directed to befinlitindia@gmail.com.
